I’m a native New Orleanian who is occasionally a bit much. I just love any reason to celebrate – people, holidays, food, life events – and consider creating a fun celebration for others to enjoy to be my deepest expression of love.
The OM is a collection of various gatherings held at my home (or in the wild) celebrating people, holidays, food, and life events over the years.
I love experimenting with creating extravagant looks and finding ways to challenge myself while keeping an eye on the budget. I feel most accomplished when I do the best I can with what I have, so I’ve focused my resources on basic items that can be used to create many different looks.
I prefer to DIY as much as possible, so the balloons, macarons, most of the cakes, all of the flower arrangements, and every detail was designed, created, or selected by me (with a small army of family to help me put it all together).
My mother taught me everything I know, and we as a family have been celebrating life this way since the beginning!
